Starting your First Campaign

Campaigns are created by using the 'Campaigns' option in the main menu. On this page you must click the 'Start a Campaign' button.

 

Campaigns distinguish themselves through the action that must be performed by the consumer. Thus, you can start a campaign either for selling products, for newsletter sign-ups or creating new accounts.

 

When starting a campaign you must fill in a form. The following information fields have to be added:

  • a campaign name

  • a general description of the campaign

  • the category that best fits the campaign

  • your website's main url. (eg http://www.site.com)

    • Affiliates will be able to redirect the consumers using Quick Links and Deep Links anywhere below the main url. If you enter http://www.site.com/subdomain they will be able to redirect only below that address.

 

  • if the campaign is Per Lead or Per Sale

    • Per Sale involves selling a product or a service

    • Per Lead involves another type of action (e.g. newsletter sign-ups)

 

  • Auto Approve Affiliates must be set to 'No' if you wish to individually process each affiliate
  • Recurring Sales refers to the timespan during which affiliates receive commissions for the actions performed by the referred consumers

    • Example: with Recurring Sales configured for 6 months if the consumer clicks on a link today and buys something 5 months from now the affiliate will still receive a commission

 

For Lead Commissions you can offer a fixed amount (e.g. 20 USD) for each completed action.

For Sale Commissions consider one of the following options:

  • Fixed amount (e.g. 20 USD)

  • Sale Percentage (e.g. 5%)

  • Variable Sale Percentage (different commissions for different products)
